If I had to pick one time of day to live in for the rest of my life, it would early morning autumn. Between 9 and 10 am. It’s sunny, but not with the deep, satisfied hues of afternoon sunshine. No, these morning rays speak of possibilities and adventure. The air is crisp and if you close your eyes and breathe deeply enough, you can imagine the smell of apples and cinnamon. The trees are still full and vibrant, but orange leaves softly carpet the ground. Every once in a while, the wind reaches down and trails her fingers through the leaves, sending them spinning through the air like glitter in a snow globe. This is what I would freeze into perpetuity. Because it’s these days, these few hours, that make me feel alive, motivated, and lucky to be experiencing it all.
